On account of INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS) & SRMS College of Nursing, Bareilly jointly marked the day with series of exciting events at SRMS IMS. Centered on the theme ‘Our Nurses, Our Future, The Economic Power of Care’, the celebration aimed to honor & appreciate the hard work, dedication & invaluable contribution of nurses in healthcare.
The celebration was a momentous occasion & began with grand inaugural by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust, paying floral tribute to Florence Nightingale in the presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, Nursing College, Professor Aneesh Chandran, Vice Principal, Nursing College; Lt. Col. Aleyamma VG Chief Matron; Joyce Wilson, Matron & several others.
Celebrations kicked-off with Quiz Competition on the theme ‘One Patient, One Cannula’ that was a knowledge-sharing experience, wherein Alshifa, Rakesh Babu & Smriti secured top three positions. Poster Competition harnessed creativity, artistic expression & meaningful message on nursing & healthcare, wherein Rubal, Monika Singh & Harleen Kaur emerged as winners. This was followed by Mime Act & Silent Acting performance, wherein nursing students displayed impactful & emotive visual story-telling, transcending language barriers. This was followed by Antakshari that fostered moments of joy & laughter, wherein Komal Saxena, Mamta Singh, Anita & Heema Singh (Team B) emerged victorious. Later, a Speech Competition also took place, where each participant shared insights on nursing profession & healthcare challenges within a time-frame of 2 minutes & finally, Elisha, Monika Singh & Mamta Singh stood 1st , 2nd & 3rd respectively.
Later, Dr Muthu Maheshwari delivered a vote of thanks, followed by Prize Distribution & Cake Cutting ceremony.
